State Sales tax will be collected for all book sales (online, square etc)

• Sales tax will be applied to all book sales.
  
  

• Sales tax will not be charged on Samajanidhi transactions.
  
  

• The application will automatically calculate and apply the sales tax.
  
  

• Karyakartas currently using Square devices will see the sales tax automatically applied during the transaction.
  
  

• Online book sales will include the sales tax in the transaction details.
  
  

• Samskrita Kendrams are required to use Square devices, as the Square application will automatically collect the sales tax.
  
  

• Starting April 1, the prices of syllabus books will be slightly reduced.
  
  

• A list of syllabus books with the new reduced prices, effective from April, is provided below (sales tax is extra).
  
  

• The prices of all other titles not listed remain unchanged (sales tax is extra).

In the Samskrita Kendrams, please ensure that Square devices are always used for book sale transactions, and avoid accepting cash. If any book title is missing from the Square application, kindly notify the bookstore team (pritis@sbusa.org) immediately.  Karyakartas do not need to make any changes to the Square device setup. They should, however, be aware of price changes for certain titles and the applicable tax on all books.
